CPR Three sessions offered Wednesday, October 21, 2009; 3:00-6:00 (3 CE credits) Friday, October 23, 2009; 8:30-noon (3 CE credits) Friday, October 23, 2009; 1:30-5:00 (3 CE credits) • Limited to 50 participants per session. • $60 additional registration fee required. • No on-site registration permitted for this course. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) maintains respiration and circulation vital to life. AED may restart the heart! Persons trained in CPR and AED are the first link in the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) System. A prompt and immediate response to a cardiac arrest may allow you to save a life! Knowing how to respond to a first aid or cardiac emergency is one of the most important skills a person can learn and perhaps one of the easiest. Knowing 'what to do when seconds count' can even mean the difference between life and death. Topics covered in this revised course include breathing and cardiac emergencies, heart disease prevention, choking management and Automated External Defibrillation for all ages. The new streamlined CPR techniques (CPR 2005) are easy to learn and apply. Participants will receive handouts, a two-year certification card and a wall certificate. Recommended for….Everyone. Our courses comply with the most current guidelines set forth by the American Heart Association (CPR 2005). Our professional instructors are experienced, certified Emergency Medical Technicians and/or Nurses with experience in Basic or Advanced Life Support. They have provided CPR and can help you learn how it works in the real world, not just the classroom. |
