Dental professionals have long been aware of some of the oral/systemic links but with the exponential growth in this area, it can be extremely difficult to keep separate well-supported clinical evidence from unsupported hypotheses. This course will inform the entire dental team on these advances, as well as provide practical information about how these emerging evidence-based connections may affect your practice.

- Examine clinical support for possible emerging links
- Distinguish different levels of evidence
- Understand the impact of the oral-systemic link for patient management

The paradigm of caries management has widened. With minimally invasive and remineralization technologies, we are faced with a new decision model in diagnosing and treatment. This program will review the historic trends in caries control and introduce the exciting new trends in therapies.
Topics covered:
- Identify the diagnostic changes utilized in evaluating the caries process
- Discuss and implement the use of the CAMRA risk assessment tool
- Discuss the latest diagnostic technology in screening and tracking caries patterns
- Compare and discuss the current delivery systems, which contain technologies claiming enamel restoration and remineralization
