Stress Management: A Matter of Balance

To be alive is to experience stress. The question is never “Can I live without Stress?” The question is always “How can I manage the stress I experience?” Dentistry has actually been identified as a high stress career.

This program will
explain why we are always subject to stress, help participants identify how stress operates in their lives and provide strategies to manage stress more effectively. This will be a fun and practical workshop with several non-stressful activities integrated into the presentation.

•    Identifying stressors in your life
•    Developing your stress early warning system
•    Stress management strategies that work

David Farrugia, EdD
is the chairperson of the Department of Counseling and
Human Services at Canisius College in Buffalo, NY, where he has taught mental health and school counseling professionals for over 25 years. He is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and maintains a general private practice in counseling.
