Wouldn’t it be exciting to enhance your knowledge on the topic of xerostomia? It is estimated that over 20% of the population suffers with this annoying condition that negatively affects the quality of their lives. Dry mouth may affect a patient’s nutrition, function and overall health. This course will focus on the many causes and problems associated with xerostomia. We will also discuss clinical observations, along with patient management ideas. You will learn of many new and old products on the market and come away from this course with new ideas to return to your practice ready to implement specific strategies to help improve the lives of your patients that are suffering from this condition. This program is designed for Dentists, Hygienists and Assistants.

Shannon M. Nanne, RDH is a graduate from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Dental Medicine. With over fourteen years in clinical practice, Shannon is also a national speaker, educator and author. She holds a full time position as the Speaker Coordinator for Laclede, while practicing part time in the State of Ohio. Shannon has contributed to RDH Magazine, JPH and has authored “A Patient’s Guide to Periodontal Disease”, a guide to help health professionals educate and discuss periodontal disease with their patients. As Vice President of the Cleveland Dental Hygienists Association, she currently lives in Sagamore Hills, Ohio and lectures to dentists, hygienists, oncologists, pharmacists and ICU nurses. Shannon has taken education to a new level of fun and excitement.
