The course objective is to provide updated knowledge of the
biological and clinical principles of endodontics for the participants to have
a more predictable success in non-surgical endodontic treatment. The course engages on the topics ranging from
preoperative case assessment, achieving proper anesthesia in complex cases,
proper isolation, appropriate instrumentation and techniques for cleaning,
shaping, irrigation strategies, adopting recent obturation advances and
managing odontogenetic infections with guidelines for medically compromised
patients.

Sharaschandra Reddy Govindool, BDS, DHHM, MDS (Endo) , MSc (RWTH Aachen), PhD (HKU), currently is a full time faculty at the Department of Periodontics and Endodontics,
UB School of Dental Medicine, Buffalo, NY.
Dr. Govindool completed his predoc from Rajiv Gandhi
University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, a masters in Conservative Dentistry
and Endodontics, from Saveetha University, Chennai. He was a faculty and had a
private practice back in India for 5 yrs, while pursuing his Masters in Science
in Lasers in Dentistry from RWTH Aachen University, Germany. He completed his
Doctoral studies from The University of Hongkong before he joined his Residency
at the Endodontic Department at UB School of Dental Medicine. His research interests include antimicrobial
photodynamic therapy, lasers in dentistry, instrumentation and learning
methods.
