Treatment of implant therapy related complications
or,
“Better Call Periodontist”
6-8pm, Wed, May 10 via live zoom
In recent decades, oral implantology has significantly
changed the traditional therapeutic approach by introducing new ways of
rehabilitation for our patients. The growing number of implants is constantly
increasing the number of technical and biological complications that we need to
address.
In this course we will discuss these complications and the
ways to handle them in the different stages of implant treatment. We will address
important topics – how we can avoid these complications in the first place. Various techniques for soft tissue management will be demonstrated as a
possible solution for different implant related situations. We will discuss the
timing of procedures in order to achieve the best outcome and try to define the
cases that can’t be solved by the soft tissue manipulations only.
At the completion of the program participants should be
able
Recognize implant treatment related complications
Know how to avoid this complication in the first place
Know how to treat these complications at the different
stages of implant rehabilitation treatment
Know how to use soft tissue related solutions for implant
therapy complication treatment
Know when implant related problem will need a more
extensive intervention
Presentation is intended for all dental practitioners that
have implant patients. It will be
especially beneficial for dentists performing rehabilitations of patients with dental implants (general practitioners, prosthodontists, periodontists and
oral surgeons).
