of Endodontists (AAE), and
the American Dental Education Association (ADEA) and the Mexican Academy of
Endodontics.
Irrigation and Obturation in Modern Endodontics
6-8pm, Wed, Oct 30 via live Zoom
Dr. Romero will identify and explain the various steps in a contemporary
endodontic irrigation protocol. She will discuss the various irrigants and their importance in
Endodontics. And finally, we will explore the latest evidence-based techniques for irrigation
and obturation in endodontics and evaluate the pros and cons of old and new sealers in
obturation.
At the completion of the program, participants should be
able to:
Understand the primary goals of contemporary endodontic
irrigation in root canal therapy
Describe the role of each irrigant and its objective during
irrigation
Identify the most efficient techniques to enhance irrigation
during root canal treatment
Explain the advantages and disadvantages of different
obturation techniques used with gutta-percha
Intended Audience
This course is intended for General Dentist, Endodontist, Dental Assistant and
Hygienist, from novice to advanced.

Dr.
Monica Romero earned her Dentistry degree from the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de
Puebla, School of Dentistry in Mexico in 2007. She completed a Certificate in
Endodontics at the Universidad Autónoma de Tlaxcala School of Dentistry in
2011. Continuing her academic career , she achieved a Master’s degree at the
Yury Kuttler Institute of Advanced
Studies in Endodontics in Mexico City in 2019. Dr. Romero established a private
practice exclusively focused on Endodontics in Puebla, Mexico, between 2010 and
2020. She is currently enrolled in “The Certificate of Advanced Endodontics
Program” at University of Buffalo. She is a member of the American Association
of Endodontists (AAE), and
the American Dental Education Association (ADEA) and the Mexican Academy of
Endodontics.
