DOCS Health is seeking a Part-Time, General Dentist to provide problem-focused dental services at correctional facilities in Southwestern New York State.  Candidate must possess strong diagnostic and clinical skills with an emphasis on oral surgery.  Correctional dentistry is a unique opportunity for Dentists looking to earn supplemental income without the administrative responsibilities, “selling of dentistry”, or overhead costs associated with a traditional private practice.  DOCS manages all staffing, documentation, invoicing/billing, and ordering of dental supplies, including PPE and instrumentation.  Access to DOCS’ Chief Dental Officer 24/7 for clinical consultation and support.

Responsibilities/Schedule:

• Exam, diagnose and treat patients consistent within ADA guidelines.
• Abide by SOAP format, update medical histories, obtain patient consent and all necessary documents prior to treatment
• Friday’s - 7am to 4pm
• Cattaraugus County Jail (301 Court Street Little Valley, NY 14755) - One Friday monthly a 35% of daily production
• Alleghany County Jail (4884 State Rt. 19 Belmont, NY 14813) – One Friday bi-monthly at 35% of daily production
• Chautauqua County Jail (15 East Chautauqua St. Mayville, NY 14757) – One day weekly (Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday) at 35% of daily production

Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted State Dental License
• Strong oral surgery skills preferred
• Communicate effectively with DOCS Health Corporate Office regarding all scheduling matters
• Always represent DOCS Health in a professional manner
